1 cup buttermilk
1 3/4 cubes margarine
1/4 cup flour
pinch salt
6 eggs well beaten
3 1/4 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup coconut -or-
1 cup chopped pecans
Melt margarine and add remaining ingredients. Mix well, add either coconut, pecans or half of each. Pour into 2 pie shells. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour.
This is one of my favorite pies!

Yummy, Karen. We have lots of pecans on our trees this year, so I'll have to try this.
