Curious George Birthday

My friend taught me how to decorate cakes using a coloring page and an overhead transparancy. I put the coloring page under the transparancy and decorated on top. Then I froze the frosting. Then I turned it onto the cake and peeled off the transparancy. I loved how it turned out.

Fancy Cake

Sadie was so lucky - her Grandma (Jon's mom) made her a birthday cake this year. My mother-in-law is very talented - she made all those little flowers, the gate, and the birdhouse by hand. I just had to show it off!

Beautiful Cake

I wish I could say I made this one, but I didn't. It was made by Jen's sister-in-law, Randi. I thought it was so pretty I just had to put it on here. Anyways, since I'm not talented enough for this, go here if you want to see how she made this.

Here's his 9th birthday cake. Don't look too close, it was a quicky. But he had fun helping design the battlefield. And please don't judge too harshly my messy kitchen on the day after Christmas!

Barbie Cake

Here is Callie's BEAUTIFUL barbie cake. It's her birthday today!!!

I'm no professional, but this was easy! I baked it in a round glass bowl for as long as it said to bake a bundt cake on the cake mix box plus about 10 more minutes. It takes about half of the batter. The rest I made into cupcakes.

I got this barbie a few years ago at Walmart. It has a pointy stick thing instead of legs. I used canned strawberry frosting, I just put half in a bowl and put blue and a little red food coloring in it to make purple, then used the rest of the pink for the flowers.

Here I am at Jen's house at Dallin's 5th birthday party and we thought we'd post a picture of his fun dinosaur cake. I love these kind of cakes where you just throw something on top.

I am really proud of this cake I did by free hand for Ryan's birthday. I know, I know! I'm bragging, but he loved it!

Candy Land Cake

This is Madison and Kade's birthday cake. We had a birthday party at my house for them. Camilee made the cake and it turned out so cute. She got her idea from Taste of Home. The kids all loved it.
